Yes, that’s right, we’re creating a compost sculpture for SF 2016!
We held a great brainstorming session with fellow farmy, artsy, and permy types last week to hash out ideas. They ranged from, “Let’s just dump a load of compost on Virginia Street and call it good.” to creating a 20 foot tall tower of compost. With six weeks to go before the event and Earth Day in between we’re focusing on how to blend the artistic and educational components of a rad sculpture.
We know that whatever we create will be different, thought-provoking, and informative. Also, alive with gazillions of microbes doing their grand work at the micro-level.
If you’re interested in helping out, give us a jingle. We are looking for volunteers for the event to share all about composting with event goers.
